The Anatomy of a Malpractice Lawsuit and Claim will discuss what physicians can expect throughout the claim and lawsuit process with examples from real-life past cases. Physicians can look forward to better understanding the claim and lawsuit process, learning the do’s and don’t of litigation, and how best to prepare themselves.

Last year, the California Legislature passed Assembly Bill 72, which forbids balance billing for out-of-network care at in-network hospitals or facilities. The law took effect July 1 of this year.
