Please join us as Carole A. Lambert, MPA, RN, Vice President, Practice Optimization and Residents Program Director at the Cooperative of American Physicians (CAP) presents, Resilience: A New Take on Wellness.
This presentation is approved for 1 CME credit and will address the topics of why we worry about physician wellness and why we characterize our lives as unbalanced.
Most advice tells us to search for work-life balance: that work is bad and life happens when we’re not at work. This advice demotes the importance of work and loads non-work time with unrealistic expectations.
Can a successful clinician-scientist really:
- Eat six small meals a day?
- Work out four times a week?
- Attend all family functions?
- Spend regular quality time with friends?
A more achievable goal and a more enduring result is resilience...the capacity to live life to the fullest and face adversity, change and challenge with purpose and determination. We hope you will join us to reflect on this goal and how we might work toward it.
This presentation is complimentary and lunch will be provided. To RSVP, please contact Ginger Purewal at 530-749-6655 or s3purewal@frhg.org or Sumiko Newman at 530-749-4648 or snewman@frhg.org.
