Among physicians in the United States, burnout is common and may compromise many aspects of patient care. CAP Member Dr. C. Freeman and CAP's Vice President of Practice Optimization Carole Lambert will explore factors that contribute to physician burnout and provide techniques to help maintain career satisfaction. About the Presenters:
C. Freeman, MD, MBA
Dr. C. Freeman is a Howard University graduate who trained in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at the University of Virginia and obtained her MBA from Pepperdine University. She provides clinical services to adult and geriatric patients, as well as consultation to private and public organizations, medical societies, and the judicial system. Dedicated to her profession as a physician, she acknowledges her role as an educator, her responsibility as a mentor, and her duty as a provider to administer culturally competent care. Her commitment is to creating healthier lives through delivering health care of the highest quality, providing mental health education to the community, actively engaging in organized medicine, and maintaining balance between work and life.
Carole A. Lambert, MPA, RN
Carole Lambert is vice president of Practice Optimization and Residents Program Director at the Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc. (CAP). She has been working in the areas of patient safety, risk management and loss prevention, quality and compliance, and organizational development throughout her career. Ms. Lambert uses her experience and expertise to identify opportunities for supporting the physician members of CAP. She also directs The Successful Physician and the Residents Program, an arc of risk management, professional development, specialty-specific, enterprise risk management, and post-residency education modules, now in its eighth year.
