About the Speaker
Dr. Ted Leonido-John is a holistic psychiatrist working in Los Angeles. He received his B.S. from UC Berkeley, his M.D. from Boston University, and his psychiatry residency training at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center.
In addition to his private practice, Ted has been a supervising psychiatrist at the highly regarded and award-winning Partial Hospitalization Program at Kaiser Permanente Psychiatry Department since 2003. His interest in complementary healing modalities has led him to study and practice Meditation, Dreamwork, Tapping, Aromatherapy and Energy Medicine, primarily Pranic Healing.
In addition to his nearly insatiable exploration of opportunities to promote healing, Ted is involved in animal welfare advocacy, helping feed the homeless, attending ecstatic dance gatherings, and experiencing all the plant-based restaurants in Los Angeles with his husband.
When the COVID lockdown in Los Angeles started in March 2020, Dr. Leonido-John started a free twice weekly meditation (Twin Hearts meditation) and self energy cleansing (Pranic Healing) on Zoom. These powerful sessions have helped participants cope with the issues arising from the pandemic, the escalating race-related violence and political insurrection among other stressors. These online sessions empower and stimulate the participants' innate ability to heal their body, emotions, energy and soul.
