About the Speaker
Pranav Shah, MD is a practicing psychiatrist at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County. He is an assistant clinical professor at Western University of Health Sciences.
His Mindfulness and Wellness Experience includes:
- MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) Training under Jon Kabat-Zinn & Saki Santorelli
- Mindful Meditation training with the Vipassana Center
- Development of a personal yoga & mindful meditation practice
- Running a mindful meditation group for the Chronic Pain Management Program for the last 3 years
- Serving as a member of a national Task Force with the goal of developing a standardized curriculum for Wellness for use in residency programs
- Working on developing a Wellness Diary for use by residents & faculty
- Various invited lectures regionally on Wellness, Mindful Meditation & Burnout Prevention
