CAP CME Risk Management Program (Pasadena)

The program begins at 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated and is approximately two hours long. A light supper will be be available at 5:30 p.m. Be certain to RSVP for a seat, as space is limited. By the completion of this lecture, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss the issues most often seen in professional liability lawsuits.
  • Identify medical conditions that are most prone to diagnostic error.
  • Discuss the physician-patient relationship and the role the physician plays as a patient advocate.
  • Discuss the guidelines for informed consent.
  • Identify systems that help prevent patient injury.
  • Identify current and evolving risks in medicine.
  • Formulate informed consent discussions that appropriately address culture and/or language barriers.
