CAP announced that Hammon P. Acuna has been appointed as the organization's Senior Vice President and Chief Membership Officer. Mr. Acuna will oversee and direct the activities and performance of Membership, including the Mutual Protection Trust (MPT) Membership Development; Membership Services and Membership Programs; and the Risk Assessment Peer Review Unit – ensuring that the CAP enterprise meets its growth and retention goals.

On February 1, 2019, the Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc., Board of Directors approved amending Article 4.3.2 and 4.3.3 of the CAP Bylaws, setting the time for a membership-petition nomination to the Board of Directors at 75 days before the date of an election and eliminating nominations from the floor at a meeting to elect directors.

In addition to cosponsoring this year’s California Medical Group Management Association Annual Conference, CAP has announced that CAP Vice President of Membership Development Daniel Cavanaugh will start his term as CAMGMA President at the beginning of the conference. The conference is being held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Golf Resort Palm Springs from March 28-30.

(CAP) has announced that CEO Sarah Pacini will be speaking at the event’s Dr. Dorothy Rasinski-Gregory Women’s Leadership Breakfast on February 23. CAP's General Counsel Gordon Ownby will discuss liability issues in electronic medical records at a breakout session that same afternoon.
