In response to the growing public health and safety crisis associated with prescription drug abuse, California lawmakers have introduced a series of legislative bills creating a set of rules and practices to help curb prescription drug abuse and increase controls over the prescribing process itself. 

As California elections officials prepare to mail ballots to the state’s registered voters this fall, there is the expectation that some portion of the electorate will still choose to participate in person during the pandemic, requiring a delicate balance between voting rights and public health.

In a matter of weeks, Californians will once again be casting ballots in the 2020 General Election.
