Thanks to our members’ demonstrated dedication to their organization, the governing boards of the Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc. and the Mutual Protection Trust have been elected. We want to extend our gratitude and appreciation to our members during the election cycle.

This year, CAP presents the organization’s first-ever Community Hero Award to a CAP member whose charitable service merits special recognition. The award will include a $5,000 grant for the charitable organization affiliated with the physician’s work. One runner-up will receive the Community Leadership Award, which will include a $1,000 grant for the recipient’s associated charity.

A common allegation in malpractice lawsuits is the failure to obtain the patient’s consent for treatment. It goes beyond just getting the patient to sign a piece of paper.

The elections for the Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc. (CAP) Board of Directors and for the Mutual Protection Trust (MPT) Board of Trustees are currently underway—and the July 25th annual meeting date is fast approaching!
