New CAP members have the option to purchase up to $500,000 in life insurance with no required health exams1. For members who are currently enrolled in supplemental life coverage and not at the current $500,000 maximum, you may get an additional $50,000 of life insurance benefits with no medical underwriting required2. Guaranteed coverage for CAP members.3 Good disability insurance is a must-have for all physicians. Both a short- and long-term policy offer monthly payouts which can be used to pay your regular expenses should an unforeseen illness or accident occur. CAP members can get a $1,000 weekly short-term disability benefit plan in addition to state disability benefits and up to a $10,000 maximum monthly long-term disability3 benefit, or 60% of your income. CAP members can get a lump sum payment up to $30,000 when they or their covered dependents are diagnosed with a critical illness. While disability plans can help offset lost income, critical illness insurance can help pay for unforeseen expenses associated with a debilitating illness that are not covered by your medical plan. This coverage covers critical illnesses, such as cancer, heart attack, stroke, and kidney failure. Coverage can be customized, and a lump sum payment can be used how you want.

Benefits up to $50,000 for unforeseen accidents or injuries available for CAP members. Accident insurance is affordable coverage that can help you pay for unforeseen bills after a serious accident. Like critical illness insurance, accident insurance helps pay for unforeseen costs from deductibles, copays, and treatments, not covered by your existing medical plan. A lump-sum payment can be used however you want.
