CAP has announced that CAP member Dr. C. Freeman has been named the 147th President of the Los Angeles County Medical Association (LACMA) at the organization’s Annual Installation of Officers in Santa Monica on June 21st. Dr. Freeman has been a member of CAP since 2005 and is the first African American and African American female president in the group’s history.

Effective July 1, 2018, the California Legislature, under Senate Bill 189, will broaden the criteria for owners in some entity types to be eligible for exclusion on new and renewal policies.

A regular annual meeting of members of the Cooperative of American Physicians, Inc. (CAP), a non-stock membership cooperative corporation, and the members of the Mutual Protection Trust (MPT), an unincorporated interindemnity arrangement, will be held on July 25, 2018.
