At SCAHRM’s 37th Annual Educational Conference in Rancho Mirage, CA, outgoing SCAHRM president Mr. McMullin was presented with an award in recognition of his exemplary leadership that has fostered significant organizational growth, while rejuvenating the educational content of SCAHRM’s annual conference to ensure relevance and promote member engagement. Furthermore, Mr. McMullin was a driving force behind the implementation of various new fundraising initiatives such as the popular “SCAHRM After Dark” event.

“My work with SCAHRM has afforded me the opportunity to not only lead, but to collaborate with and learn from some exceptionally dedicated and astute risk management professionals,” said Mr. McMullin. “As president during a period of intense industry change, it has been particularly important to me to facilitate a meaningful experience for SCAHRM members, and it is gratifying to know that not only have we executed against this vision, but also established a framework and legacy to promote long-term organizational success.”

Ms. Lambert, currently serving on SCAHRM’s board of directors and as chair of its communications committee, was also honored for her many and varied contributions that have advanced the organization’s goals and significantly enhanced the membership experience. Leveraging her extensive experience across risk management, operations, and communications, Ms. Lambert has been instrumental in supporting fundraising and planning initiatives. She also spearheaded the launch of SCAHRM’s monthly opinion column titled “THE SOURCE,” which collates thoughtful and timely contributions from a broad cross section of California risk managers to provide thought leadership content.

“The demands placed on healthcare risk management professionals in today’s healthcare environment are myriad and rapidly evolving,” said Ms. Lambert. “SCAHRM provides a crucial forum for industry professionals to remain apprised of nascent developments and pool collective expertise, while also sharing enjoyable experiences. I harbor a tremendous amount of respect for my SCAHRM colleagues, and am delighted that my contributions to the organization are considered impactful.”

Sarah Pacini, CEO of the Cooperative of American Physicians, added: “Lee and Carole are a prime example of the high caliber of talented and dedicated individuals that make up our team at CAP. Their tireless dedication to promoting excellence in their field extends beyond their work with CAP and its members, to also provide tremendous value to their peers.”
