HHS Secretary Nominee Representative Tom Price has testified he plans to replace the Affordable Care Act but has offered few specifics. Senators Susan Collins and Bill Cassidy have announced plans to offer an Obamacare replacement proposal next week. With a repeal of “Obamacare” in the works, physicians are asking what “Trumpcare” will look like. Presented by Jeremy Miller, founder of Miller Health Law Group, "Trumpcare vs. Obamacare: What's Next?" will examine what the Affordable Care Act currently covers, what a potential replacement might look like, and the impact of a change on physicians in California.

About Our Presenter

Jeremy N. Miller is the founder of Miller Health Law Group. For the past 30 years, he has counseled medical groups and individual physicians in managing the powerful forces changing the healthcare payment and delivery system. Mr. Miller is deeply involved in advising the firm’s clients on strategies for adapting to health reform and the rapidly changing healthcare delivery and payment system. To date, Mr. Miller has authored eight articles and made more than two dozen presentations on the new health reform law. Overall, he has published over 65 articles and has made more than 160 presentations to local, state and national healthcare industry organizations. Mr. Miller is the former Chairman and a current member of the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Health Care Law Section.

In 2012, Best Lawyers named Mr. Miller its Health Care Law “Lawyer of the Year” for Los Angeles. He has been recognized every year from 2006 – 2016 as a healthcare “Super Lawyer” by Los Angeles Magazine. The peer-based award recognizes the top 5% of health care attorneys in Los Angeles and Orange Counties. He was also selected for inclusion in the 2009 – 2016 editions of The Best Lawyers in America.

Mr. Miller is a graduate of Northwestern University School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science, cum laude, from the University of Illinois.
